UK Traffic News initially started as an internal project in September 2010 to enable our claims department at Orbit Assist® to corroborate major road traffic collision news data for serious personal injury compensation claims within the United Kingdom.
At the request of our corporate and fleet clients for our single aggregated news data source, we decided to run a limited access service with up to date traffic and travel information.
In February 2011, we moved our traffic and travel information to a new platform to provide a free and publicly available traffic, travel and accident news feed within a single data source.
There are a several ways you can keep up to date with UK Traffic News.
We have developed an API that enables our feeds to be fed directly to Twitter without causing delays by third party intervention. The links use the bit.ly shortening truncation system.
